Default Best Nissan FAST for me?

I'm not sure which version of FAST will work best for me. I'm not very computer savvy and I've spent 2 days trying to install various versions with no success. So here's what I've got, maybe you guys can give some suggestions, tips and/or hints.

1992 240sx w/
R32 RB26

2010 370Z Roadster (fiance's car, inclusion not really a must, but would be nice if not too difficult)

I'm running Window's Vista Home Premium.

If you need anymore info, let me know...I appreciate any help I can get.

I don't think you can run fast with vista. Though I have never tried.

I have a dedicated Laptop for fast. I run the 2001 software though.

The 2010 370z likely wont be in there, the s13 and rb26 will be in the old 2001 discs and they can be run with the 2010 fast.

That would explain why, after installing every version of FAST I could find, and trying almost every method on this site and others, I've had no luck. It looks like it should work, but it doesn't.

If I were gonna look for an inexpensive used laptop to run FAST, what would be your suggestions?

Anything. Fast in itself is a very light program. You are just recalling data from files.

The laptop I have for it is likely one of the first xp machine. 1.6 ghz single core intel chip with 1 gb memory.

Or you could just post and get others to find you the part numbers.

I'd like to have a laptop to hold just my car stuff, FAST, FSM's, wiring diagrams, etc. If I could keep it in my garage and pull wireless, that would be a sweet bonus as well.

I agree very light. I have an older version I run and very simple install then u keep the cd's in a drive and its nothing more than like an index search.

If you have a cd version you could isomagic to mount the iso files so you dont need to burn the cd's and keep the cd drive.
