Default Dirty Thirty from Down Under

Currently in the process of putting her back together with a standard RB30E bottom end (circumstances have put the forged bottom end on hold).

First put an RB30DET in a few years back, a block/head/forged pistons became available for a good price.. did the conversion in a weekend drive in drive out

Onto the good bits..

-RB30DET
--Standard RB30E bottom end, cleaned up, oil pressure relief spring shimmed 2mm, rear oil feed blocked & front restricted to 1.5mm
--R32 RB25DE head, standard cams/valves/springs/etc (has about 15,000kms on it and has proven itself at 22psi and 490rwhp)
--ASR 6.5L baffled & gated sump
--Adj. cam gears, new idler & tensioner, Dayco belt
--Custom plenum (GTR chamber on RB20 runners, in the process of welding up the water outlet)
--Q45 throttlebody
--GTR injectors freshly cleaned and tested, custom resistor box & new injector harness
--Highflow Neo turbo built by Per4manz Turbos, supposedly good for 24psi and 400rwhp (came off the wagon, was a bit laggy on the 2.5L, had it rebuilt and should be interesting on the 3L) on standard exhaust manifold
--Apexi 3.5" catback, has been modified to delete the cat, currently making a front pipe to go from the 3.5" dump pipe to the catback
--R32 GTR intercooler/piping/bov/recirc setup
-Exedy button clutch for now (until I can get a rebuild kit for the HKS twin)
-RB25DET gearbox with C's short shifter & braided clutch line
-custom two-piece tailshaft with heavy duty spicer unis
-Nismo GT Pro 2-way (good times )
-Cusco coilovers
-Whiteline swaybars
-324mm front rotors & Ferodo DS2500 pads all round
-braided brake lines all round & cusco BMC stopper

Still sorting a few things out.. plenum is off getting the water outlet welded up, picked up a 3.5" dump pipe my mate made for his RB25 Torana, need to chop it and make a tighter bend and extend it. Need to weld a 2" spigot onto intake pipe for bov return. Another silicone bend and a bunch of hose clamps are on their way, throttlebody to cooler pipe is tight but think I got it sussed. Radiator is too big, can't fit shroud so going to sell it and get something with smaller tanks. Need to find a longer throttle cable.

And the other normal stuff like hook this up, plug that in etc which is what I'm about to go outside and do some of

Couple of vids from when it only had a baby 25 turbo on the 3L and some sht 245's squeezed onto 6.5" rims! (dodgy but they were free )

That's awesome man! Love 30'd cars. Also love where you're from. I used to have family in Perth and spent many months there, absolutely love it.

Had final mockup of the plenum the night before last, should have it back sometime during the week and then I'll post pics up of what we came up with for the water outlet..

OK, been a while since an update but finally got her running!

Needs a tune and some more boost but it's safely rich running 10psi for now (dips into the 11's and high 10's on boost) and no ping ping. Got a few more rattles and squeaks to sort out before I chuck it on the dyno as the car has been off the road for a good 18 months!

Ahh yeah a probationary driver pulled across a set of lights in front of me a couple of weeks ago and wrote her off :/

So I've begun the healing process by stripping her back and feeding all the local 32 vultures.

Got my eye on an R34 25GT (non-turbo) black manual coupe and swap my engine/gearbox/diff/brakes over..
