I think that is a true example of how capable ROTA's are, a 3700lb car with race slicks on it pounding the hell out of a rough track. If they can stand up to that they can stand up to 90% of what the average guy will use them for.

Just say away from the ones with the spindly little spokes and for GOD's sake don't run little paper thin tires on them. If you're stretching 225s on a 9.5" rim just to look cool then pay the price when you hit a pothole or plow into a nasty rumble strip at your local track.

Notice how thick the tires are with ZERO stretch on that R35.........

a 10 percent margin for conditions to kill a rim is huge.

Cast wheels make me nervous, every time I hit a corner hard and the front tires are squealing and hopping, I wonder is this the corner it fails? But so far so good, the FN01R-C's are holding their own.

I really want to switch up to some stronger forged wheels .... Any one interested in getting in on a CCW group buy ?

I was going to pick up a set of the Swissesd Classic's at some point this summer

I was thinking that the 10% is when some BOZO decides to go 4x4ing with his car because he hit a water puddle and got out of shape, or plowed into a curb. Or, if you line up 10 GTR's, only 1 out of the 10 actually needs $3500 wheels, the rest only want them.

I have been running cast wheels on every car I have ever owned, some of which weigh in at twice what an R32 weighs and have never been the slightest bit nervous about driving it like I stole it. You guys really need to try and shake this NEED to only use the best when 1/4 of the best is more than enough.

To me spending $5000 on wheels and tires on a car that will only see the track (road course) once or twice a year then spend the rest of the year cruising the pot hole infested streets of a Canadian city is just a waste. The Enkei's on my car right now are cast, I have no quams about taking it to Mission and running the hell out of it, Drag strip or the road course.

If you race in a series and are serious about it, sure, those lighter wheels will shave valuable time off. Average Joe? It's more a bling thing than an actual NEED.....

I love Enkei's, but i know the rp01's crack.

I have no performance reasons for buying a rim really, just size and aesthetics right now if i'm using them on the street.

I still would be hard pressed to run a rota.

That te37 is not broken, it is bent.

the rpf1 went off roading, it's not like they exploded at the spokes
So still able to stop on it.

That cai rim isa common problem. R33 oem gtr rims crack there as well.
