Default Re: What did you do to your car today?

I don't know which one it is but the way I drive the car (like I stole it) I really need to pull the engine and have the bottom end rebuilt. I am sure I damaged the crank or rod so it won't be a quick fix. With all the cars I've built over the years I'm sure the crank will need somework and check the rod clearances. I just need to find someone to pull it and do the bottom end for me. I'm getting tired of pulling engines and fixing them. I seem to be loosing the desire to do the big involved stuff any more. To much on my plate for the last 3 - 4 years. My days are so long, I'm out of hours in the day and seriously into my sleep time, every day of the week, all year round. Z Tune closed so Now I'm looking again for a good shop.

I know where your coming from, I had the same thing last year and they left me with $3,800 in damage for a lousy $198 stereo and my climate controls

Look for a small hole under the door handle near the rear of the door handle insert. The person who broke into mine must have used a small diameter screw driver and forced it into the seam between the door skin and the door handle insert. then lifted the rods inside the door to unlock it. I have since made a metal plate to prevent that from happening again.

Hey just thought I'd post this link to an engine shop in the lower mainland.
Now I've never used them on a personal car , but I used to work for weissach performance/vancouver lamborghini/vancouver lotus & we sent stuff to them from time to time when it was a different or high demand type build. Never had a car come back with engine issues after one of there rebuilds. You might want to check them out for yourself.

You can break into a skyline in about 1 min with a coat hanger, I know because I locked my keys in the trunk once (and all the doors) , there is a load of slop between the window and the window frame.

Put my stock interior in today with my bro's help, forgot how comfortable the GTS was in the original trim

Aarron started at weissach not to long after I left to go Drive the Bus. So I never knew him other than the guy's telling me about him when I stopped by to say "hi". I believe one of the tech's did his t-belt or water pump or both at his home shop.

Today I retrieved my left fender liner and brake cooler guide from the middle of the highway after the brake cooler guide got sucked under the tire which in turn ripped off the fender liner at 130 km/h
