Head Gasket Fitting

In regards to Cylinder Head Gasket fitting......

Does it hurt anything to have a gasket bore diameter that is the SAME as the overbore ? (ie. 87mm Gasket for 87mm bore ?).

OR...

Should the Gasket be larger ? (ie. 87mm Gasket for 86-86.5mm bore and 88mm for 87mm+ bore?).

I just realized that I have a Tomei 87mm Head Gasket, but am going to be using 87mm Pistons. Should I ditch it for an 88mm ?

measure the bore on the head gasket. but from memory a 87mm tomei gasket will work on a 87mm bore.
typically the bore is more like 87.1 when you are using 87mm pistons. Thats what cosworth had for 87mm pistons anyways.

I have always use a slightly oversized gasket on all 6 motors I have built/replaced headgasket as safe practice.
