Differences? I haven't seen a car with R1 turbos yet, but Daryl sells them. Since i dont know anything about turbos, do one's benefits outweigh the other? any input is appreciated.

The GT2860r's can be had for very good prices these days.. have you thought of looking into those?
I don't think many local Canadian guys have run the R1 turbos so it might be hard to find info here.

"R1"
http://www.nismo.co.jp/en/products/competition/engine/rb26dett.html#r1turbo
.......is Nismo's fancy way of saying.......
"Garrett 707160-7" or GT2860R "Dash 7"
http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/catelog/Turbochargers/GT28/GT2860R_707160_7.htm
......damn Nismo.

1 more quick point:
Sold as Nismo Part# 1441A-RSR45 = $3,501.72 USD/pair (314,213.00 JPY @ Tunerlab)
Sold as Garrett's Part# 707160-7 = $2,000.00 USD/pair (Sold everywhere, sometimes cheaper)
Is a Nismo Logo'd carboard box, a couple Nismo stickers and possibly already having done the 5 minute (oil) Line inlet MOD as well as a couple gaskets really worth $1500 USD over what Garrett sells them for ?
GO JDM ! FTW !
