Anyone know how to tell the difference between RB25DET 5 Speed and RB25DE?

Is there any serial number I have to look for while under the car?

Yes, the differences are quite obvious.

The RB25DET transmission has a slanted shifter housing, dead giveaway. (RB25DET bottom, RB20DET top)

The RB25DE transmission looks like a pregnant Rb20 transmission, notice no slanted shifter housing.

There have been many people who have been shafted with receiving the DE transmission when buying a motorset because most don't notice the difference...
