When I bought my car, my driver's side window has a couple streaks of fine scratches running down the window. Can it be polished out? What about replacement felts? I know there's a strip on top of the door that's felty inside, is there anything else I'm missing?

The sliders on the actual window rails wear out and score the windows.
I will get some part numbers tonight when i get home

Now I'm not 100% on this but if you can catch the scratches with your nail then they are typically too deep to repair.

I need the number for this as well...one of my felts are completely pooched. However I should note with one of my felts completely gone my window has never scratched.

Thanks, that'd help me out alot if you could look into that. I don't have Nissan Fast to bring up a parts breakdown.

Now I need someone to get visual confirmation of the part that is scratching the windows.

Is if the seal stips at the top causing this problem? I have never had to fix it.

According to pro's in this area that I've talked to, there's nothing on the market that can remove the scratches properly. If window is scratched, it's replacement window only (second hand or new) + fix the cause of scratching problem.

I was hoping to avoid that. I can drag my fingernail along the scored portion of the glass and it barely catches. How much does a window usually go for?

sadly im going to have to agree with skym either your going to have to live with the scratches providing they arent bad or replace the glass

i think it can be said, with enough time and the right materials you can fix the scratches.

thats actually pretty cool. I wonder how much the discs and compounds would cost. Its likely still cheaper to just buy a new side glass I would guess, but that would be nice to do

Glass renu only sells huge kits to "new customers" worth 2200.

There will be similar setups for less and most glass shops can do it anyways.

I called Z-Tune for a P&A on a replacement window felt molding (driver's side) window and apparently it's no longer offered from Nissan Japan. Part # 80820-04U00, any suggestions?

Hit up some parts cars or make your own. It's just a strip with window felts and some holes to bolt on inside.

Thanks M13, I'm going to look into it and make my own.
