baha screw DOT, honestly my car would get fucked if it got inspected, just have two sets of most things, have the stuff you want, then the stuff that is for inspections cuz ive heard prelude lights look like ass on our cars

Yeah I know but you need em to pass the inspection which is a one time deal

unless you get a VI

What's VI? And you're correct, accord is for r32, prelude is for r33.

like if you get pulled over and the cop orders you to get an inspection on your car before a certain date

you can use whatever you want. as long as they light up. low and high beams work, they are mounted solid, and there are no sharp edges on the lights or mounting hardware.
i know this. i used john's 1980something camaro headlights. looked like ass. passed inspection.
so..
1. find some cheap lights.
2. bend some mounting brackets to the stock locations.
3. make sure it is secure.
4. make an adapter for the stock headlight harness to plug into the legal headlights
5. pass inspection
6. "do not" go straight home and revert to stock... (keep it legal?)
7. enjoy your skyline

I can get accord lights for 150 on craigslist, anyone know if it's even possible to throw those in there?

as long as they physically fit in the spot for your headlights.. they will work. you just need to mount it solid.

Sorry but I gotta bitch, it's ridiculous how you're allowed to have HID's if they aren't too bright but to legally pass inspection you need DOT's...then you can swap em. I heard they just copied the American policy...so much for a liberal government. </rant>

33's have the corner lamp built in to the headlight right? (never seen the lights up close)
aftermarket Depo brand accord lights come with a bracket that holds the accord corner lamp to the headlight wich could make things a more simple to mount ...providing they will fit in the 33 headlight area, maybe the 98 accord headlights would fit better?

In reality you can use both sets on a R33..

I used Prelude lights before.. however i dont have them anymore.. I do have Accord lights but i have never tried to get them to work.. My accord lights are set up for R32 Plug and Play.. I might (Stress Might) be customg Building some DOT R33 lights out of a damaged set that i have.. however i dont see that happening till summer..

Yes they have the Conrer Built in..

the issue is that its very thing.. the accord lights are way to thick.. (In the corner.. It would require some creative plastic shaving,

I bet, its probably best just to crack a set of the R33's open and install a set of Hella 90mm projectors, other car headlights just never look right.

It's that simple? Just throw in 90 mm projectors? I don't have to worry bout DOT stickers, etc?

GRIP

The Hella projectors have DOT on their lenses, the original glass on your headlights is now just a protective cover more or less

you'll probably have to contact a local shop to see if they can help you out
