Where can I get my ECU Sockted ?

Can I do it myself ?

Anyone got any instructional links ?

I found a 'Tune by mail order' place and will give them a try while I am still driving without the standalone.

Bueler ?

Anyone got one for sale ? A Socketed ECU for a BNR32 ?

You can socket your ECU yourself; keep in mind that you could fry the board due to static/improper soldering, though.

I think Ztune said they will resocket a CPU...give them a ring.

Ahh.... I'd rather not ship it unfortunately. I am hoping for a quick and easy (local?) solution.

have you considered purchasing one already socketed? i have seen more socketed ECU's for sale than stock anyway.

I see socketed ECUs for sale all the time. Then just bring it to someone with software. I know easier said than done when you're looking for an easy quick solution. Parts car close by?

You're joking, right?!?

I wouldn't let them in to my car for a ride let alone allow them to work on any piece of it.

Too many horror stories from others and I've personally tried doing business with them a few times...they don't have a clue. Told me to change my exhaust for 'better flow'....I have 2x70-75mm going in to 95mm diameter already...that's almost 4 INCH EXHAUST. WHAT THE FUCK SHOULD I RUN NEXT, SEWER PIPE?!? CREMATORIUM SMOKE STACK?!? <that spec, by the way, is 460mm> Should I hook a fucking jew-oven to my tail pipe for more hp?!?

Okay...I've had a few drinks and maybe ran-off at the mouth a bit but my point is this: NO!!!!!!!!

Pay vonzipper to do it, as you need good quality soldering equipment, static free station.
