For the washer and coolant resivor, do what I did. Paint them black. It looks so pimp. Blends into the engine bay like they aren't even there.

Pull them out, clean the really good and spray bomb. Put them back in and you just saved $$ and I think it looks better than the OEM clear ones anyways.

I never even thought of that.

Considering I am spray bombing everything else, these might as well be added to the list.

At the end of the day, I am hoping to achive something like this:

I am painting my Greddy Suction kit as well.

No SHINY stuff.....nothing that sticks out....everything black.

I would say to get the hardparts powdercoated. It will last much longer and look way better in the long run.

The plenum we had powdercoated had a few things dropped on it and it still looks good. If you get all your parts together at once and only have satin black as your color it will be cheap.

And the painting of the containers, if you use "satin" instead of "flat" it looks really good. First time around we used flat and it didn't look to good. Then satin on top and it looked OEM.

Exactly. Satin. I was gonna say 'Eggshell', as it's a little shinier than flat.

I was thinking about hand painting everything and clearcoating it all, so that I could touch it up when needed.......

You could go that way, and if you did I suggest the DEI Ceramic Coat paint (very chip resistant). If you did though, you'll always be worried about dropping something on it or scratching it.

If I can find something that matches powdercoating that I can use, I would do that.
Otherwise, the ceramic good spray bomb is the next best choice, then lots of clear coat....lol

I'll always be worried about chips, but if I can repair things quickly, I would feel less bad about it.

Allan74...I came across an airbox for $10 on driftwest.ca. No hardware, but I'm sure you'll have a box of screws that will have the ones you'll need after your build.

- Mini 'Bullet Style' Side Mirrors (trade for your OEM Mirrors?)
Thanks in advance,
Allan

Got any pictures of those mirrors? My OEM are Gunmetal

.. I might be missing something, but don't you want to see your fluid levels? Painting them would obstruct the liquid wouldn't it?

im looking for one too. we need one from a GTR though. we need the twin intakes.

ALLAN: have you looked into this; Greddy suction kit + stock intake box?b might not work.. intake could be in completely different places. i think they are. or are you gonna do some funny business.

I actually ended up ordering AEM DryFlow pod filters for my Greddy kit, so I will most likely either get a custom 'box' or covering made by someone who does light sheetmetal work here in town.....or order something online.
