Refinishing my Regamasters

Well, I had someone contact me today about the possibility of selling my wheels and it got me thinking again, about getting them refinished and keeping them, as they are pretty rare and light as fuck.....and I don't want to regret selling them and replacing them with something that simply isn't as special.

Here's the deal, what colour should I get them refinished in ?

My car will remain RED after it's freshened up, so take that into consideration.

I am making this a poll, so please make your vote. I am going to have them finished in MATTE finish, then clear coated, or possibly just powdercoated. The choices will be BLACK (current colour), BRONZE or WHITE. I have also found a place where I can order the stickers from, to place back on the wheels, so that I can do a mini-restoration on them if I feel like it, so that's another possibility.

I just didn't wanna disregard WHITE too fast......and Bronze is just something I thought looked decent on some cars.

White wheels on a Red GTR is not all that bad....sometimes.

If I go WHITE wheels, I will put a stripe of some kind in white (the Nismo stripe ?) down the side of the car from front to back.

Something starting THICKER in the rear and coming to more of a point in the front maybe ?......

Like the Gibson GTR, if the white stripe on the side, came to a POINT when it reached the front. Get what I mean ?

(or like the Nismo stripe on Mellisa C's BNR32 ?....or the Mine's cars ?)

Red Car, White Wheels.....White stripe on the side, but COMING TO A POINT IN THE FRONT........and a bit thiner at the starting point in the rear. Like I said, similar to the Nismo stripe, but in white to tie the wheels/car together better.

Instead of the car being WHITE and the stripe being red & black....my car would be RED and the stripe would be BLACK & WHITE ?


AND...all the stickers back on the wheels after refinishing to FURTHER tie everything together......

I know I am really 'reaching' with this.....but I honestly don't think it would turn out THAT BAD if I was carefull.

DO NOT DO WHITE

Been there done that, you will kill yourself when it comes time to clean them. At leas they are not white nt03's.

Quite frankly your wheels will not look good in white, this is personal preference though. Something like a CR Kai looks deadly in white.

Red looks awesome with polished lips and volk/work gold center. but bbs lm's or work vs-xx

Yes! as much as I've been complimented for white-on-white for my car, I would not use white rims, even on a rim that is as easy to clean as Regas.

I loved the Bronze TE37's on your car.....but your GTR is more of a burgundy-red or wine-red-ish colour and I think that's what made it look good with that combo.

Now that I think about it a little more, My Red is not the right shade to pull off bronze wheels with......

I will most likely go BLACK, as it's the 'safe' bet and I know what it will look like atleast, as they are black-ish already.

I just wish I had the cash to give the white combo a try, then change back if I didn't like it.....lol.....because I don't think it would be that bad, looks-wise, but as everyone said, maintenance would be a royal pain in the arse.

The only reason I am going red, is because it's red already and I am not into doing a full colour change and make a show-car.

Also, because my car is an 89, I have the BLACK under-hood thing going on, as all 89's were black under the hood regardless of exterior colour. THAT saves me a ton of work as well.

Doors-Closed paint job for me.....that's it.

I would however LOVE to do a complete colour change to white, as I have said in the past. Then get every piece of unpainted-carbon (hood, trunk etc) that I can for the exterior ;)

i would like to stay what it is now but its a pearl white and FUCK its a horrible job!!! bubbles everywhere and everything...but my pockets wont be able to afford a full paint for about 3 years haha so im getting a redo in white then when affordable ill go a more unique color if i still have the car lol
