Should a guy use oil on the threads for OEM studs? I read to do so a while back on GTRC but I cant find that thread now..

yes, use 30 wt as i believe the manual calls for that.
And follow the sequence with torquing and the specs for two step torquing.

Tighten bolts to 10 +/- 5 kg-m when torque wrench is used
I assume that just means close to 10? not 5-15 lol

Headstuds > headbolts?

Stock would be headbolt, as it is a bolt.

ARP would be studs, as they are studs.

Yes you can use oil, but I'd recommend assembly lube or ARP assembly lube for more precise torque readings.

Follow FSM or follow the three step torque.

I was following the skyline bible and under the RB25 there was no "caution, use oil" or anything. Just the torque steps. thats why I asked.
Everything is together and ready for my engine bay once the paint is completed
Thanks guys

cool that was a quick rebuild.

Not that fast actually lol. I spent about 35-40 hours in the garage working on it over a number of days. I tapped out every single hole before it saw a bolt. Cleaned every bolt/nut that I was reusing with a wire brush and brake clean. Checked and tripple checked everything I did or tightened. I was in general very careful and tedious with eveything I did, as it was my first rebuild and my only guidance was GTRPWR.
I also cleaned my whole head as best as I could with many wire brushes and the transmission etc too

Thanks everyone who helped me. Cant wait to fire it up this week
