certainly not if you wish to see every cylinder. Better money spent here then two egt's for twins.

The serial 232 port kills it for me, I would get around it but come on. Move to usb already.

I think this would be of more use still

Exhaust Gas Temperature kit for 6-cylinder engines. Includes instrument with integrated voltmeter option, six EGT probes and all installation hardware.

samples at 1 second intervals for hottest cylinder and can display that, feature I like.

Yah, that was the one from Ebay that we talked about last year.

Is that the one that does Peak/Hold for the ihgh channel and rolls through the channels ?

There are a couple Aircraft units that I was checking out last night on Ebay as well. K-Type Thermocouples for Aircraft are definately cheaper than the standard, or other type (no idea what the prob type is called).

The only thing that sucks about the Aircraft units, is no datalogging, just display.

This guy has had these up for sale for about a year (well, maybe longer even), as I was considering buying from one of these guys last summer/spring and were the ones I MSN'd you about:

But like I said, no dataloging capabilities.......so just a glorified dummy light.

That is unfortunate. I'm looking at dataloggers that can take 6 external voltage signals. they are all 499 usd and up.

It really pisses me off that AEM's were built with only 4cyls in mind.

I am going to call them and see if it's possible to add 2 external EGTs, to make 6 total. I don't care if there is no fuel control, I just want datalogging.

Well, I have found what I am going to use, regardless of what ECU I end up with.

http://www.exhaustgas.com/ProductDetail.asp?ProductID=1815&DepartmentID=14&CategoryID=56&BasketID=&RepID=

3 x Dual Channel EGT 0-5v Converter/Amplifiers .... $65/each + Shipping ($250 +/-)
6 x K-Type Thermocouple Probe/Mount Kits .......... $60/each + shipping ($400 +/-)

I am just waiting to hear back from the seller on a 'Package Deal' , as I found him on Ebay.

This kinda sucks, as it will eat up 6/7 available Analog Inputs on the AEM (if I use it), but that's life. A single Wideband will take up the last input, #7/7.

On the upside, if I use the AEM EMS, I can buy a single Serial Datastream19 Gauge that can monitor all 6 EGT channels on 1 gauge, from the ECU.
