I've had good luck with diesel oils. The mobil delvac 5w40 worked good for me, as well as the Rotella 15w40. The castrol will be a new oil for this year.
I wanna try the kool-aid Amsoil though.

Make sure you check this file out:

Some popular oils are missing from this one, but it has managed to steer me away from some oils that don't perform (even though they are expensive and marketed as "high performance" cough mobil 1 cough)

I managed to snag some of this today...10w60, perhaps too much?
http://www.billswebspace.com/Z4MS54OilChange_files/image003.jpg
I got some attached information with the oil.
1 - ALPINA worked on its formulation with Castrol/BMW
2 - It suits DI engines due to its viscosity namely HTHS @ 5.4cP
3 - It has an excellent Pour Point (-42C) which is much better than some lighter viscosity lubricants
4 - It was progressively developed from 1997 as a low chlorine/minimised phosphorous lubricant
Its part ester/part PAO base has been constructed over a period of 30 years on an excellent development path
It is a bit like a heavy weight version of M1 0W-40 or Delvac 1 5W-40 in its formulation.
Thoughts?

I heard you want an oil with a lot of phosphorous for our engines so I wouldn't be using something advertised as minimized phosphorus. Even more so when they spell minimized wrong.

K&N Oil Filter
Chevron Delo 400 5w40 synthetic
i have used many oils, RP,Motul 300v,Mobil 1, LubroMoly. Delo slightly falls behind LubroMoly and Motul 300v but it is readily available, relatively economical and performs. Plus has enough detergents.
I run it in my 2007 Audi A6 Avant 3.2l FSI, 2008 Nissan Frontier 4.0l Direct injected and 1989 GTR. I cant explain it but it is fantastic stuff, try it.
Chevron Delo 400 Synthetic Engine Oil
Chevron Delo 400 Synthetic heavy duty motor oil is recommended for use in turbocharged diesel and four-cycle gasoline engines, torque converters, gear cases and hydraulic systems operating in arctic-type climates and high temperature conditions. Using the latest synthetic oil technology, Chevron Delo 400 Synthetic provides excellent performance with either high- or low-sulfur diesel fuels and in extended service applications.
Features
• Easier cold-weather starting due to excellent low temperature pumping capability
• Excellent shear stability and are designed to not shear down to a lower viscosity grade in most applications
• Lower oil cost results from excellent deposit control that reduces oil consumption, and oxidation is minimized to help extend oil service life
• Reduced inventory costs are achieved because the wide operating temperature range allows Delo 400 Synthetic to be used in all seasons
• Longer engine life results from excellent soot dispersing and low temperature pumping, which reduces startup wear
• Available in SAE 0W-30 and 5W-40 grades
Applications
• Turbocharged diesel and four-stroke gasoline engines
• Torque converters, gear cases, hydraulic systems
Select Performance Specifications
• API CG-4, CF, CD (obsolete specification), SH, SJ
• Cummins CES 20076, 20071 (SAE 5W-40)
• Mack® EO-M Plus, EO-M (SAE 5W-40)
• General Motors GM 6094-M
