Mcfly, you had a scanned article on here about the ATESSA ETS....Nov 2008 or something...named "Keep your atessa atessing".
Anyone know where this went?

I never realized there were so many parts in the transfer case. what breaks in them?

Those are pretty good pictures to help a noob understand them a little better. I'm also interested in what the weak points would be?

The clutch pack wearing is the weak point. the chain has been know ot snap but only two cases are documented.
this one just popped up;
7 KM/h 860hp car
standard gearbox and transfer case

ouch. Would have to really abuse it to break the chain then I guess..

or a manufacturing issue finally showed its face. Either way a transfer case break is mild, easy to fix with a new one.
