hey guys, need some help as to the process for unbolting the PS pump from the engine?

i can see its hinged on one big bolt up top... and i also see 2 bolts below that.. then theres the tension bolt which when i loosen doesnt seem to make anything any looser.. and of course the wheel pulley nut..

a lil help from you guys would be great as to how to remove this?

thanks,

i have an idea but i don't want to try it as there is a lot of tension on that belt and im not one to risk damaging something

i figure...

apply more tension to the tension bolt.. un bolt those 2 bolts below which are on the bracket.. then release the tension on the belt by loosening the tension bolt.. pop off the belt, turn the pulley wheel and undo the hinged bolt.

please correct if im wrong thanks

on the tensioner bolt there is a secondary "lock" bolt. its set up just like the alternator tensioner so loosen the bolt clamping the tensioiner and then loosen the actual tensioner bolt.

From there you can just remove the large bolt holding the pump to the bracket and it will come right off, lines attached at this point though so not very far.
