Hey so it turns out that the bearing in my power steering pump pully is starting to go and I'm in kelowna currently with most of my tools. can just the bearing be replaced or do I need a whole pump?

Thanks

I took a quick look at the assy of the pump. is the pulley bearing pressed into the pump?

If I have to get another whole pump, where and how much do you think it will cost?

From the image I see in fast it appears nissan does not sell a bearing separate.

You're sure it is the bearing?

the pulley moves forwards and backwards a tiny bit. makes the pully vibrate and make noise.

like rb-racer I cant find a number for a bearing. there is a bearing looking/bushing type thing on the pulley shaft but it is not selectable for a part number.

Interesting.

My mate had a similar problem with his R32 GTS-T powersteering pump.

On aircon pump, you can pop the side of bearing on front of pump, grease bearings (or I gather replace bearings). I haven't had a good look at powersteering pump, but I assume it uses the same type of bearing.

Most bearings on Skylines (including hub bearings for front lower arms on left, right side) are made by Nachi -

If you can see the stamped part number on side of bearing (also should have manufacturer name), might be able to go direct to Nachi Canada or manufacturer and order bearing.

If you look on page 652 of the gtr manual it gives a better view of it all apart. but yes I checked out nissan fast as well and they don't give a part nuimber for the bearing.

does anyone know what would cause the pulley to move in and out like that? is it a bearing or will I need to replace a seal or even the drive shaft inside? Thanks guys

If your planning on removing you HICAS, find an R33 P/S pump , its much smaller and lighter and does not use the hydro lines to the back

is it making noise or no?
If it was i would say it's eating the housing. Check the fluid, see if it's still red.
