OKAY! let's try this again
here is all I'm going to say. There WILL be an event this year around mid to end of July. It WILL be based out of the lowermainland. It will NOT just involve skylines, but cars of other persuasions as well. And it WILL happen. So please keep an eye on your schedules around that time. GTRPWR people are MORE than welcome to come and bring banners and wave flags. that would be very very cool.
It is no longer an event owned by GTRC, not that it ever was. It is merely planned there and planning will start to shift into the shadows until things are finalized. This event now belongs to the people, I am merely a coordinator. If you have a passion for cars and want to help or have suggestions, recommendations, or even better: hookups :D then please speak up :) PM me here or on another forum. Or if you have me on facebook, hit me up.
THANKS GUYS! :D

Where and When is the proposed event(s) taking place again ?
What sort of activities usually go on ? I saw the mention of Racing, Food of course and some other stuff.
I am just not familiar with it, sorry for the stupid questions.

I've never been to one. Id llike to see a small cruise or a big one depending on how many people are interested/willing.

there will be cruises to the chosen meet location within your various groups. There will be various automotive activities held there as well as lots of free stuff to be given away. Stickers, shirts, various car bits, airfresheners.. 10 points to anybody who gets that joke. It may be held in the mission area depending on how planning goes. We shall see... just don't plan a huge vaycay or anything

I dont care where it is.. however with the Main People organizing it living in Vancouver Area.. that means its easyer to get access to locations, food, and other things because of the contacts etc.. so i would say it will end up being in the lower mainland..

They make food in other cities too you know, as well as parks and parking lots and even race tracks!
Who would have thought of doing that ;)

right now... we're actually considering a location that's inconvenient for EVERYBODY so nobody gets to bitch ;) hahahh.. i joke i joke... we think we've found a great spot for a weekend of skyline win... but planning is essential and we're trying to figure everything out now. sweeet.. details should be posted in the next few weeks

without a location how can you plan a meet?
supguyex
01-22-2010, 07:22 PM
well we're trying to find a location that gives everybody a good cruise, but so we can get more alberta people out. I'm currently in discussions. and of course. when things are finalized. they will be laid out in plain sight for all to see

Jon and I are sorting out details right now, We think we found somewhere that will let both BC and AB people attend without too much trouble and with enough time to have a good old cook out :)
It will most likely be a 2 day event though, just trying to sort out a campsite big enough (Day 1 drive out, Day 2 drive back)

make a poll and see where the most people will show up to. Like the original skymeet west

we will, dont you worry :) we're just coming up with a few points to pick from first ;)
In my experience with meets is it's always better to have a few options to choose from before you present them. Jon and I are just doing our homework, a poll will be made once we have some options that are viable
