hey guys and creator of GTRPWR.COM
i just wanted to say, ive noticed something different about this site compared to all the other skyline sites,
i really like the way this site is more about gatherin knowledge and making it accessible to everyone! for free! its amazing,
y`know time and time again its been proven that the best way to get top notch results on anything is to collaborate with other people... not compromising, not only hearing yourself.. but collaboration and working together... this site is FULL of people asking and following other peoples advice, its a wealth of information full of DIY's and guides and i REALLY appreciate that.
cause it seems like the other site are more about bragging and showing off what you got and less about helping other people, ... i hope this site remains this way, and i'm working right now on a "book" which is a complete walk through of how to pull an RB26. i'm learning as i go and when im done, ill certainly be down to share each and every step with everyone one of you.
thanks everyone!

I completely agree. no bullshit yet. other than gtrc hate, which we all feel haha.

I don't think gtrc "bashing" is really necessary. it has lots of good information much like any of the skyline forums. I like that you, yes you, are going to sign up right now and support the forum. no more lurking in the shadows.
;)

yea i agree with archaic bloke, different atmosphere here so far and yes gtrc hate is common over here but i mean if we have an incident over on said forum we need to vent, so we come here to our home LOL
its like coming home to your parents after getting in a fight at skool in elementary school...yes i realize that was lame haha

I think right now its just venting like inhumane said. It's been a while for me that I've been disliking GTRC so I'm a little built up. It should die off soon enough and things will balance out. I don't like spending so much time bitching about GTRC so I will try to curb that urge here on out.
Like you said, GTRP seems to be a little more towards helping and gathering info for other people. Like Allans oil pump and ECU threads. Those are both invaluable and I have to say thanks to him for making the effort to provide the less knowledgable people with that info. It will be what makes GTRP stand apart
I'm very excited for this forum

I think that once we all get over our 'Sour Grapes' towards GTRC and begin to move in a more forward direction, or, in a more positive direction.....things will get MORE FOCUSED and even better around here.

I dont have any thing against GTRC, from my point of view its just a bigger site at the moment and has a lot of inexperienced skyline owners and fan boys on there, most of the questions are things that could be figured out with common sense or a search.
Im not saying they are all noobs, there is some very experienced people on there.... just very little, new / cool / technical info ever gets posted there
..... and that why I like GTRPWR more so far.... good tech action

I think that there is more engaging info and talk on GTRP right now. I'm tired of submiting to the level of OT on GTRC just to get a bit of time on there. Nothing new or informative comes from OT either lol(obviously)

I love this forum. No totalitarianistic oligarchy FTW.
The core group here are much more informative also. +111!
(and the auto-embedding properties for youtube, bigger fonts, better background, sig options, avatar options, no people "disappearing" from a mysterious ban without knowledge, etc and so on)

Should I become a sponsor and start paying for your gas? In return, I get to run a shitty business and you must delete any harsh comments from users that may affect my business wait two years before banning me, ok?
I spoke too much.. Someone might be reading this...

Thats a good deal M13. We want good people on here so lets try not to let the word get out to the retards that run rampant on other forums. I really like what McFly has going here now we need to take it the rest of the way

I like the darker background on GTRP, real easy on the eyes. The site's core is tech-oriented.
Yes, loads of good technical info on this site already...and its only been up in this form for a few months
mcfly
01-21-2010, 04:15 PM
Well the forum has actually been online for 6 months. But we were not promoting it in any way. Now that we are attempting to get the word out to people it's growing nicely.
The plan is to keep it tech orientated and more western based

Unless I have missed the button for the last few years on GTRC...
Best feature of GTRP is the "New Posts" button.
Seriously GTRC used to have it, am I just missing it now or what??? :P

If I remember right they did used to have that feature. It really makes it easier when you are on a time crunch and just want to quickly hit a few topics

We just seem to be more Western 'dominated' at the moment I believe. It's nothing personal against those in the East.

I don't really care if it's Western or Eastern, info is info and this place has just become my new home for RB questions.

Its already to late to stop the western machine. We have so many western members now that the easterners couldnt catch up
