how power can this setup handle?

It's not really a question of power unfortunately. This will obviously take a little more abuse than the R32 setup, but I still wouldn't run over 500 WHP....and shift like a crazy person....lol

The major advantage of the r33 gear box is the upgraded synchronizers. The r32 gtr box had very poor synchros that wore out.

You need to upgrade a r32 gtr box to r33 pieces if you want to run an os giken drop in gear set. Or just buy a r33 box to use :p

ya was gonna say, couldnt you just way easier drop in a r33 gtr gear box? same bolt up.. just need to account for the clutch slave conversion right?

Pretty much.....atleast I hope so, as that is all I am going to do.

unless you already have the pull type clutch system on your r32 ;)

thats my plan... stick with my r32 tranny as long as possible and when and if the time comes.. just get a used r33 tranny... it won't be a huge deal.. and it`ll be a sweet upgrade

there are a few ways to do it ... because im planning the r33 swap very soon. if you have the r32 trans you can swap the bell housing off the r32 and put it on the r33 so you can still use the r32 clutch. the other way is just more expensive and requires you buying a push/pull conversion. i was gonna do the total rebuild but buying the r33 trans just seems more economical right now. but this list was just wat i was looking for... i was to lazy to get the part numbers in fast. thanks so much.

Actually most of this is incorrect! Their is only 13 parts needed to retrofit any R32/R33 transmission to the standards OS Giken requires.

And buying a R33 transmission still isn't the end all answer because OS Giken requires parts from 9 month of 1997+ R33 transmission

Another advantage of buying direct from an Authorized OS Dealer!

Last I checked last year it was about $700CAD full MSRP for the Nissan parts needed (except the Nissan input shaft as I assumed most people would run OSG)

Actually most of this is incorrect!

Thankfully it's called BNR32-->BCNR33 Transmission Upgrade Parts List and NOT OSG Transmission Upgrade/Build Parts List.

Prior to adding misinformation, please pay closer attention to what is ACTUALLY being provided, in terms of information.

....and I will quote, just to make sure it's CLEAR:

The above list also includes the parts and part#'s required to update your BNR32 transmission prior to fitting an OSG Strengthened Gearset package.

It did not say:
The above list is exactly what is required in order to perform an OSG upgrade

I will let you adjust your post at will, rather than doing it myself.
