I remember my car has a 90 amp alternator in it. RH9 does a 110 amp alternator but its just shy of 1000 dollars after shipping.

Obviously this is not worth it. What other solutions have people come across?
I ask because I'm considering the electrical draw on my car. Electric fans, solenoids, fuel pump(s), ignition system etc.

run it with all accessories running with a clamp-on ammeter and see how much it draws, you might not need anything more...

Interesting.

Fuelpumps at 100% all of the time at idle probably draws alot of voltage.

Maybe a 97 Nissan Quest 110 amp alternator??? -

That 1k alternator is probably the same alternator with custom mounting bracket, etc.

The RH9 alternator is a direct bolt on. So likely a rewound stocker. May end up just going mechanical fuel pump and not worrying about this at all.

When my alt failed a few years ago I had it rebuilt for like $150 to OEM spec. The rebuilder gave me the option of rebuilding with better coil or whatever for more juice but I opted not to because I never put even a CD player in my car. I don't have much draw
