I have an issue with high idling. 1200-1300 cold and then up to 1600-1700 warm.
I have done all the gaskets on the intake and been over the intake with propane to check for other vac leaks. Cannot find any. Have removed and blocked off vac hoses (clutch/brake booster, fuel reg, purge etc etc).
Blocked off air feed to idle control valve and the valve behind that and the most difference that would make is -100rpm. Air bleed screw in idle control valve is screwed right in. Checked tps closed position and other signals to ecu. All show ok. Really starting to pull hair out over this one.

Any ideas guys?

Cheers

vacuum/pressure test the boost vacuum system . 3 pipes under and behind plenum so not easy to inspect hence test is best .

Have Throttle body`s been cleaned inside ? if so they will be leaking air as they are not a tight fit , but can be re-sealed with Tomie Throttle coat .

Try loosening the throttle stops on the 3 throttle body`s and push the throttle arm hard to closed , if revs drop then the butterfly valves are not sealing the throttle body wall .

Just a thought as it happened to me

If the throttle body gaskets were slightly differrent thickness it's possible that the throttle is open a small amount. You may have to re-adjust the linkage.

I've been chasing the exact same problem for 2 seasons now with no luck. I've done everything except reseal the throttle plates.
Have a read through this thread. You might pick something up...
