my ABS was removed and im going to put it back in havent done it b4 so it should be fun to do. i have checkd the 4wd ecu and the flash code was
1 Right front wheel speed sensor or circuit
2 Left front wheel speed sensor or circuit
8 ABS actuator motor, motor relay or circuit
3 Right rear wheel speed sensor or circuit
4 Left rear wheel speed sensor or circuit

and im thinkin the parts il need will be the for sensors and ABS control unit ABS ecu

does your AWD still work? Take pictures under your hood of how brake lines and stuff are routed.

I just took out mine, damn thing leaked all over the inner fender. A real mess I tell you.
At least it's just surface rust (not deep at all) most of it just I could scrap off. All the
same sanding the whole thing priming and resealing the seam, then paint.

started to clean it a little bit.

Here pics of the whole system in place.

How I delete it (will be redoing the line on the firewall so it's hidden when I put
the engine in.

Sorry, didn't read the whole tread.

You don't need to put back your ABS pump or to modify your brake line to make your
awd work.

But the awd does take reading from the sensors at the wheel, so you'll need those if
you don't have them or if yours aren't working properly.

Is there a reason they seam to have removed the sensors at the wheel ?

And for photo's I use photobucket.

Check the wiring to see if they took out any of the wiring, or maybe your lucky and they just removed the relay's.

Best think would be to get a schematic of the ABS wiring and compared to what you have. I don't mean that you have to open your car wiring to check, but start by finding all the plugs and see what's missing on the other end.

I remember a thread way back on SAU about needing to loop two wires so that the wheel speed sensor signals would complete their trip.

I can't find it though

I think I'm in that boat too. I completely eliminated my ABS but have a feeling I'm going to run into AWD issues. I still have the sensors but no pump, and no desire to lug a 40lb pump around for no reason in my car.

i all ready checkd the ABS wires and everything seems to be there all they did was removed everything in the engine bay and made new brake lines (real tidy) and removed the speed sensors but left the plugs and wires alone. il take photos to show yaz

there be away around it. have you got your car running? one off my falt code is 8 and thats for ABS actuator motor, motor relay or circuit
so dnt no who she will go if i just put the speed sensors in

My car still doesn't run. two more weeks or so till it will. Does the AWD work with that fault code still or not?
