HAHA got ya;)
What kind of pins you go with, generic or the flush style ones? Seibon is the best fitting products I've seen. Whats the hood to fender adjustment like?

Kyle

inhumane
12-29-2009, 10:58 PM
generic pins on my budget lol

sorry, hood to fender meaning how it fits along the sides?

DrMango
12-29-2009, 10:58 PM
Yes sir!

Kyle

inhumane
12-29-2009, 11:16 PM
it fits perfect pretty much everywhere...only problem i had was the screw heads on the screws that came on the hood too small so it would slide through the cars lever...a couple washers did the trick though :D

12-31-2009, 07:56 AM

DrMango
01-01-2010, 10:05 AM
I don't know much about them? Did you pick it up from BrianV8? How was it cost wise vs the Greddy and such?

Kyle

inhumane
01-01-2010, 01:57 PM
yea brian got it for me...no compaarison in price...about 1000 for a greddy that i was looking at and well 300 for the godspeed...that was on his 25% off sale but still nothing beats it

DrMango
01-01-2010, 10:46 PM
Wow thats a really good price. Wish it was as easy for us RB20 guys. Are you planning to install it yourself?

i guess i should add guys, i had another r33 before this one, i unfortunately crashed it...it was a late night coming home from a family dinner, coming along our highway here, a raccoon comes across the road, i slam on my brakes(yes i shoulda hit it) but i swerved 3 times and then into a ditch...front end was totalled and some frame damage, got written off by icbc for a healthy amount(more than i paid) and so i got this one

That seems to be the norm for ICBC. I don't understand because they always bitch about the cost of claims. Its their own doing.

I can't bring myself to support any of the sponsors on GTRC anymore. I have so many connections for low prices, now that I pulled my head out of my ass and realized GTRC isn't the end all for parts.

FMIC and plenum is a pretty easy job if you have all the bits and pieces like your gasket and such. FMIC is pretty straight forward once you mark where to cut your hole and get that done.

Kyle

inhumane
01-02-2010, 11:38 PM
yep got the gasket too, it should be about a two full day job cuz i wanna do minor things too such as spark plugs, rad flush, oil change adn maybe upgrade my coilpacks

and with icbc it seems if your story isnt fishy they cooperate somewhat, but a guy here posted a thread on gtrc in the western subforum about a not so nice experience with them

DrMango
01-03-2010, 02:24 PM
Yeah we've all heard the stories of evil ICBC striking the unexpecting guys..

You having troubles with your coil packs or just want to see better spark?

Kyle

inhumane
01-03-2010, 05:50 PM
no troubles as of yet but yea pretty much just a bit better spark and reliability... its winter too id rather do em now instead of in the summer when i wanna be driving

its gonna look sweet when the kit is painted up.

what size rims are on there now and what suspension setup do you have?

inhumane
01-21-2010, 05:25 PM
theyre 17' OZ rims and right now chopped springs with newSR struts, thats what it came with and once i have money im going coilovers woohoo

DrMango
01-21-2010, 08:43 PM
Yeah coilovers will be a huge improvement over the chopped springs lol. The kit looks good. I hope I can find a bumper soon. Where did you get yours from?

Kyle

inhumane
01-21-2010, 09:11 PM
i guy in vancouver thats doing a group buy on R33 bumpers let me choose one, im not sure where theyre from though lol

DrMango
01-21-2010, 09:19 PM

Kyle

inhumane
01-21-2010, 09:21 PM
i could ask him to look into where you could find one, send me a PM with the bumper you want and ill see what i can do

DrMango
01-21-2010, 09:23 PM
I wanted to buy an R32 GTR style bumper made to fit on a GTS without changing to GTR fenders.
I think for the same price I can just keep my OEM GTR bumper and buy aluminum GTR fenders and be ahead in the end. I might as well just do that.

Kyle

inhumane
01-21-2010, 09:25 PM

Wow. You're car is looking hot.

I don't know if I should actually admit this or not, so I will say it like this:

If someone ever held a gun to my head and forced an R33 on me, I would want it to look like yours ;)

inhumane
02-16-2010, 01:43 AM
haha that means alot allan! see the r33's can look good with some modifications :D

How are you cooling the turbo?

Zacho
03-03-2010, 10:13 PM
I'm blind!!

You need to fill that massive bumper gap there inhumane. Aldyguy I imagine he is using the stock sidemount intercooler in the passenger side fenderwell.

inhumane
03-03-2010, 10:23 PM
yup its on the right side there you can kinda see it...oh i have it at my house right now waiting to be installed...Blitz LM V-Spec FMIC, shes a beaty but im gonna get my car through this inspection BS first

Rblove26
03-14-2010, 01:16 PM
hey inhumane, im new and i noticed you mentioned future plans for a top mount (turbo i assume), ive been researching and found some top mount kits and was wondering if there really was some benefits to a top mount (power, response etc)...i have a gts-t as well and wondering if its worth it or is the stock location just fine?
thanks

inhumane
03-14-2010, 05:01 PM
well it really depends on what turbo your going to go with..you will find when you go A/M most of the turbos wont fit on the bottom mount..there are some that will but they are generally just for small-medium increases in power. if you want big numbers, from what ive been reading i would go top mount

maybe someone can explain better cuz im no geniius at this yet

Rblove26
03-14-2010, 05:33 PM
ok thanks, im not planning on going with a large turbo upgrade yet as i just got the car, wanna get the basics done first...like a complete tune up, all new fluids and a few little cosmetics first...but the more i can find out now then i can get a sense of direction

inhumane
03-14-2010, 05:43 PM
thats kinda the same for me, im slowly buildy up to that but my financial situation is holding me down ATM
