I have a friend thats trying to assemble his intake manifold and itb's back together on his rb26 , the problem is the old gasket are stuck on there real good.

We tried everything from sanding them out, wire brush wheel(sort of works but takes forever), gasket remover with a scraper and razor...

We don't know what else to do if anyone could give us some tips that would be great, thank you.

There is a special nylon tool for removing gaskets that is used with a high speed pneumatic drill OR try soaking the material in a solvent for a little while to break the material down.

Solvent is your friend.

Unfortunately there is no "easy" way to do this. Use caution with razors as they can catch and take a chunk of aluminum with them too.

i've noticed on another one that razors dig right into the aluminum.

What sort of solvent?

We've used the "gasket remover" can and it didnt do anything for us..
