So, playstation helped fuel the fires, but the tech behind the Skyline, and the sheer beauty of the 32's lines had the Skyline slotted nicely at the top of my dream car list.
I was well unaware of Canadian import laws, other then the whole track/show car rules. Until one day when a friend mentioned the 15 year thing, the rest is history as they say...
I picked up this 1991 R32 GTR with the help of Ben@ J-Spec Imports:

It ran like a top, passed the OOP needing one upper link to fully pass. The interior was 99% stock, and clean. Exterior was top notch minus the gouge it received once in Canada. Until October 4, 2006.

Melted down the #1 Piston, cracked #6. I'm fairly certain fuel starvation at the pump from running hard with 1/4 tank or less is to blame..
So, winter 2006 saw a rebuild in my garage. The majority of the parts were all sourced through Daryl @ JDM speed shop (aka: TunerLab.jp). A few bits from E-bay (sometimes, you can't get a better deal) and a crank from Autodream..

If anyone is really interested, the build can be followed here: It Begins....and continues.....and stops - GTRCanada - Canada's premier skyline enthusiasts club
Come spring 2007, the car was together, and break in completed. Off I went to Lightspeed to let Cam have his way with the Power FC. Tuned to a very respectable 532RWHP, 454ft/lbs.

Near the end, wingless was in:

On to fall 2008. I moved to Red deer. Brought the car with me. Then it spun a rod bearing. Looks like det may have pounded out the top surface of #6 rod bearing, and it spun.
Round 2.
