Some pics from this weeks Solo Sprint in Halifax.
The car did great!!! However I need to grow some balls. According to my instructor I could be about 3 seconds faster on a 47 second lap. :(
First time out with the car, I plan to be going to another event Sunday. Hope to represent the marque (and my sponser www.focusedmotorsports.com) much better.

AWEsoME dude! I was doing solo sprint with mine until my engine popped.... It's so fun man. Your car looks sexy as heck!

And yes the growing balls part will come with time...I hate braking over the crest of a hill when there's a wall right there. Smashing up my gtr...worst nightmare. Or going off the track at all, but hey, you gotta learn the hard way sometimes. Post up pics the next time you go too.

Any other mechanical parts you think you need after a trackday?

There are always parts that we could use but one part I'm REALLY glad I have is the TSC. You can put the power down so hard out of a corner.
The only other thing I'd like to get is a harness. I lock my belt and then pull myself into which is good but I use to use a harness in a previous car and it makes a BIG difference.
At this point I'm VERY pleased with it's performance.

She looks fast Bobbo. How did the brakes hold up? Running a good pad I hope.

They're AMS carbon ceramic pads. They did fine on that course but I've got a lapping school at Atlantic Motorsports Park (1.6 miles, 11 turns, almost continuous elevation changes) and I don't think they'll hold up to well.

I would suggest a pad that will hold up to 800 degrees under conditions like you mentioned.

Looking forward to see this next outing.

Interesting you should mention that. I asked Vuk at AMS for suggestions on a pad that could stand up to track use on a track with some pretty intense braking. Perhaps I wasn't specific enough but he didn't offer anything.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

For anyone who is interested here is the track we have here...

I'm guessing some Hawk pads will end up on the car but I'm not sure which ones.

Bobbo, I run an Endless CC-R pad which is up around 800-850degree. After a good 30-40 laps they still hold up. Sure a bit spongy but this is mostly because of the factory rubber hoses still on the car.

Ill PM you in shortly with a couple solid options. I think your car deserves something a lot more meatier.

I ran EBC yellows and was never able to get them over temp with ballpark 400 horsepower and 3300lbs w/ driver.

if you want an all out track day pad I hear the hawk blues will handle just about anything.

Good to know! I'll have to see if I can get my hands on a set before the July 1st!
What did you use for brake fluid? I'm using the Ford heavy duty. It's got about a 550 degree dry boiling point if I remember correctly.
