I know it has to be tapped into number 3 and 4 after the butterflies, but my problem is this. The fittings I have seem to work but if I drill where it is past the butterfly then it is very close to the edge and I am scared of it A. breaking the edge off that mates to the gasket, or B. it being in the way of the injector. Does anyone have a clear cut pic of them installed or any smaller fitting that will work. Thank!

What a small world, just recognized your name, you live in Louisville, KY or close to it, right. You built this ground up from a traded built S13.

Here is the first one but you could put it anywhere similar in location. Mine are located before the third injector and behind fourth inj.

Hope that helps, but an easy way to do it is use the PCV from the back of the cyclinder head that joins the exhaust side and intake side. It come in around injector 4, pull the rubber line off and plug or catch can it, whatever for the time being, then put a brass T from Ace hardware or Lowes in there and you can use one for each map. Let me know if I can help.

you can tap the balance tube for the pressure/vacuum source.
I ran map that way for quite some time and it is an accepted practice for a more reliable signal.

did you tap it or did you weld a fitting? there's not much aluminum on there...

Cory, just pull the the rubber hose off by the 4th injector, that is your PCV, then just put a brass T in there to run your two sensors off. No need to do anything else, quickest and most simple. I try to get a pic.

The senders need to be where the instructions say , full stop
downstream from the butterfly on 3 and 4
I have seen so mnay people try to short cut this (including me) and have all gone back to doing it where they are meant to be.
Soichi (ex Apex Japan) told me exactly why once, something to do with needing two different signals and the ecu ballancing them out , I remember rightly...
I have seen an r33 with the maps joined into a tee with the signal off the vacuum box, and we took ages to work out why it was a dog ....
Theres a lot of info about this on GTRuk & Au
