Just throwing this out there for any of you.

you can throw the oil filter straight onto the block here if needed.
Not recommended this is more for building a slimmer oil cooler setup as you can get rid of the oil filter pedestal with built in heat exchanger.

part number 15213-21001

You can also order them from rawbrokerage.com, never knew there was a nissan part.

Getting rid of that stock heat exchanger gave me a lot more room under the intake manifold.

www.batinc.net carries a large supply of anything you would need for oil filter take-off, relocation, cooling, etc.

Look at part number SP1T... it is a sandwich plate adaptor with a built in thermostat to properly control oil temperatures. As long as the RB26 is the same as other Nissans with a filter thread pitch of 3/4-16 this will work. If not, the SP1FT is 20mm, which is the other less common Nissan size.

This of course is just an option to the all to common greedy piece.

i used the greddy sandwitch plate / oil cooler for the sr20det ... but the GTR oil filter doesn't work anymore so i use a sr20 filter ... not the same thread pitch

Well, the SR is one of the 20mm filters, so I guess the GTR is 3/4-16 just like most other Nissans.

necroposting but I always used a KA24 filter, whatever they work out to.

If someone is looking for a smaller filter that fits the 2JZ-GTE oil filter is the exact same threads and everything. Fram # PH3614( I don't use fram personally).

Anyone have a lead on a 3/4-16 stud that's shorter?
